This section of the checklist equates with the Building for Life Standard but not on a question by question basis. This question equates with BfL questions 14 and 15.

Will the ‘Active Frontage Guidelines’ of the English Partnerships Urban Design Compendium be met in order to promote vitality? Note active frontages means encouraging pedestrian entrances and exits onto streets, which are frequently used.

N.B Although ‘English Partnerships’ is now the Homes and Communities Agency. The Urban Design Compendium still remains valid for consideration
